man, the things you would hear if you would only listen.
you wouldn’t hear me nagging,
you would hear me worrying,
you wouldn’t hear me yapping with my friends about you,
you would hear me say how much i really just looove me some of you,
you wouldn’t hear me bring up past mistakes,
you would hear me say am with you no matter what it takes,

man the things you would see if you would only open your eyes.
you wouldn’t see me invading your home,
you would see me trying to bring a little life into your home,
you wouldn’t see me wasting time in front of the mirror as if i have nothing better to do,
you would see me making myself just a tad prettier for you,
you wouldn’t see me teasing you,
you would see that am just waiting for the right moment to be with you,

man the things you would understand if you would only open your mind.
you wouldn’t think i am trying to let out the average 20,000 words,
you would understand talking with you means much more then just words,
you wouldn’t think i am being too emotional,
you would understand that i can be vulnerable with you without fearing at all,
you wouldn’t think i am trying to show you that am better,
you would understand i am only trying to make our lives alittle easier,

man the the things you would know if you would take the time to find out.
you wouldn’t feel as if i am rushing you to marry me,
you would realize that i just cant wait to spend my days just you and me,
you wouldn’t feel as if i am always pushing or pressuring you,
you would realize that i love you enough to want the best for you,
you wouldn’t feel as if i am bashing you right now,
you would realist that i am just trying to let you know.
